Hey readers…

Just a quick little post to let you know the books I am hoping to get too this month. Clicking on each book cover will take you to it’s Goodreads page.

I am really looking forward to all the books I am reading this month and hope I can get to all of them in time.

Two of these are re-reads, so I should be able to get through these pretty quickly and they are:
1. City of Bones
2. Scythe

what are you reading this month, let me know in the comments.

Happy reading

August TBR

2020, TBR

Hey Readers…

This is my TBR for the month of August. Two of these will be read via audiobook and one will be an ebook. All the main headings for each book will link to the Goodreads page for the synopsis

The Queen of Innis Lear by Tessa Gratton

I will be reading this through audiobook on Scribd. I have had this on my tbr for a little while. I picked this one out my TBR jar so it is a must read for this month

The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse

This book I bought because I read The Taxidermist’s Daughter and really enjoyed it. I hope I enjoy this one just as much.

The City We Became by N K Jemisin

This one I am reading for an online book club. I hope I like this, I have tried to read The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin before and I didn’t quite gel with it.

If It Bleeds by Stephen King

I can’t wait to jump into this one and see how I get on with these stories. Stephen King is always hit and miss for me. I recently read The Stand and I really enjoyed it.

The City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty

This is a re-read for me. I want to carry on with the rest of the series and would like to re-read this before I do. I will be reading this on audiobook from Audible. I gave this 4 stars on my first read. Here is my review.

Traitor’s Blade by Sebastien De Castell

This is the book I am reading as an ebook. I am reading this for an online read along. I have heard lots about this author and his book so I am looking forward to starting this series.

Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

-Happy reading

February TBR

2020, February, TBR

Hey Guys…

I thought I would let you guys know my partial TBR for the month of February. My target for this month is 6 books but I only have 3 on my TBR at the moment.

The first one on my list is Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. I love all of Sanderson’s books and I have been meaning to read this one since it came out. I am reading this with people over on the Byzans app in a month-long read along

The next book I am reading in February is The Lie of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. This book has been on my TBR for the longest time and I am so glad to finally get around to this. This is another book I am reading on the Byzans app in a month-long read along.

The last book I have on my TBR for this month is Harley Merlin and the Secret Coven by Bella Forrest. This one appeared as an advert on my Kindle and is available through Kindle Unlimited so I thought I would give it a try, so far I am enjoying it.

June TBR

2019, June, TBR

Hey Readers

Just a quick little post about the books I am planning on reading in June.

I am usually really rubbish with TBRs so this is flexible in the most part.

The books I am going to be reading are:

  • The City of Brass by S.A.Chakraborty – This is the June pick for #mythtakereads
  • Tithe by Holly Black – This is for the FaerieAThon which I saw announced on Melanie’s Channel
  • A Feast of Crows and A Dance with Dragons by George R.R.Martin – These I am combine reading  – I am really enjoying this experience so far and I feel I am getting through them a little faster.
  • Dread Nation by Justina Ireland – This is the read for Read, Rate, Review! – which I saw announced on Gi’s channel.

I have Started, Dread Nation, A Feast of Crows and A Dance with Dragons at the end of May

What are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments what you’re planning on reading this month.

August TBR

2017, blog, TBR

Well Well Well..

Here I am again making a TBR I am probably not going to stick to but never mind.

FullSizeRender 4

Three of the books I am either currently reading and three are books I want to get too.

The War of the Dwarves by Markus Heitz

I have been reading this book since last month but I didn’t get to read that much last month so I am currently 39% into this book. I am really enjoying it so far and this series may become one of my favourite series.

The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan

This book.. THIS BOOK….

what can I say about this book. I have tried to read this twice already and haven’t picked it up for around 6 months if not more. Now its not like I didn’t enjoy it because I really did and I still think about this book and remember whats happened still to this day. I just distracted by other things and I have the entire series that I was given by someone moving to a different country so I would really like to get to them all. I am really hoping I finish this book this month even if I have to start it all over again.

A Brief History of Time by Yuval Noah Harari

I started this a few months ago but again I have picked it up either due to slumps, no time or being distracted by other books I have decided to read. I am again hoping I can finish this book before the end of the month.

Now onto the books I would like to get too…

The Things they Carried by Tim O’Brien

I found this book by chance along with the next book I am going to mention by Tim O’Brien whilst browsing through amazon for books I might to read. These are about the Vietnam war and how it has effected America. Tim O’Brien was in the war so this coming from a pretty reliable point of view

More about The Things they Carried here.

If I Die In a Combat Zone by Tim O’Brien

This is another book I found by the same author as the book mentioned above. It is again about the Vietnam war. you can find more about this book here.

Proxima by Stephen Baxter

I don’t know anything about this but it has been on my TBR pile forever and I don’t think I want to know anything about this book.

If you would like to know about this book you can find it here.

I will be keeping everyone up to date with how I am getting on with this TBR selection

Has anyone read any of the books I have mentioned, what did you think?
