OWLS Wrapup

2020, Owls Readathon 2020, Warp up

Hey readers…

Here is my wrap up for the O.W.L.s Readathon 2020. I went for the curse breaker career. I did start to have issues in the month, losing my reading mojo and just feeling down due to the current world situation.

I have completed my career reading and I am now a CURSE BREAKER 😀

Here is what I read to complete this career.

Ancient Runes – Heart on the cover or in the title

51PQPbc+9SLFor this subject, I picked up The Pure Heart by Trudi Tweedie. You can find my review for this book here.

I did enjoy this one and it wasn’t in my initial TBR for this month.

I added this book after I found myself slumping.

The original book I was going to read was The Paper and Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie.

Arithmancy – Read something outside your favourite genre

pride-and-prejudice-jane-austen-9780141439518

The book I picked up for this subject was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. You can find my review for this book here.

This book surprised me and I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would, I found myself thinking out this book when I wasn’t reading it and picking it back up again.

I will be reading another Jane Austen book in the future.

Charms – White Cover

61ikfa6tmnl._sx324_bo1204203200_The book I picked up for this subject is The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. You can find my review for this here.

As always I really liked this one and gave it 5 stars. Brandon Sanderson is one of my favourite authors and I really enjoyed the Mistborn Trilogy

Defense against the Dark Arts – Book set at Sea and Coast

44647479._sy475_For this subject, I picked up, Deeplight by Frances Hardinge. You can find my review for this book here

This was such a good book. I had never read a book by this author, I usually stick to reading the same author. I love finding different authors and I will be reading something else by Frances Hardinge.

Potions – Lure of the north

91ddR5cAQuLFor this subject, I picked up, The Lure of the North.

This was an interesting little book I rated it 3 stars. I haven’t written a review for it. It was a mismatch of excerpts from three journals in The London Library.

I have a couple more of these books so once I get around to reading more, I might do an overall review

Transfiguration – Shapeshifting – Harley Merlin and the stolen magicals

51fknwtnb-lFor this subject, I picked up, Harley Merlin and the Stolen Magicals.

This is the 3rd book in a quick, fun series I have picked up from Kindle Unlimited.

I gave this book 3 stars but I will definitely be continuing on with this series. I can fly through these books really quickly.

I have a review for the first book here and the second book here. I will have a review up for this book in the coming week.

What did you read for your O.W.Ls? Did you complete the reading for your Career?

Happy reading
XOXO
