Hey Readers…
April is the beginning of the 3rd year of the OWLS Magical Readathon. This is hosted by Gi from Book Roast over on youtube. I am going to be participating again this year and I am looking forward to this, especially with everything that is going on at the moment.
The career I am going for is .. CURSE BREAKER
Prompt one is Ancient Runes – Book with a heart on the cover or in the title.
for this, I am going to choose The Paper and Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie.
Prompt two is Arithmancy – Read something out of your comfort zone for this, I have chosen Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Prompt three is Charms – book with a white cover for this, I have chosen a couple of books, I will either carry on The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson or Forensics by Val McDermid
Prompt four is Defense Against the Dark Arts – Books set at Sea/Coast for this I have chosen is Deeplight by Frances Hardinge.
Prompt five is Potions – Book under 150 pages for this I have a choice of two books. The Lure of the North from The London Library or The magic of the Magdalene key by Patricia Iris Kerins
Prompt six is Transfiguration – book/series that includes shapeshifting for this I have chosen is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas, this is a re-read for me but I want to carry on with the series but I don’t remember much of the first book.
I am hoping to get through all the books mentions for each prompt and hopefully succeed in the readathon.

Great choices! I chose Aurologist so none of our subjects overlap, but I think Deeplight would’ve been interesting if I chose DADA.

I am 25 pages into Deeplight at the moment and it is interesting, isn’t a setting I usually sea about, I haven’t read many books like it.
