Synopsis from Goodreads

Where ash falls from the sky, and mist dominates the night, evil cloaks the land and stifles all life. Criminal mastermind Kelsier teaches Allomancy, the magic of metals, to another Mistborn, urchin Vin 16. The unlikely heroine is distracted by rich Venture heir Elend. Can Kelsier’s thieving crew take on the tyrant Lord Ruler and bring back colour to their world?

My thoughts

As you can tell from my reviews, I am in a Brandon Sanderson kick and I want to read everything by him. I loved the world-building and the way that Brandon Sanderson explains the magic system. Vin is one of my favourite characters but I do love all them, Brandon Sanderson is so good at writing characters you can’t help but like them all.

Kelsier is kind of selfish but he does, in the end, always do what is best for the others in the team.

I can’t wait to see how the story develops, I can see that this could become a favourite series of mine.
