I saw this tag over on Jen’s blog, and I really wanted to join in and do this. I love the autumn season, it is full of cosy jumpers, hot chocolates and fires!
Now onto the tag…
1. Hot Chocolate – what is your comfort book?
I have a couple of books for this one. I have the obvious answer which is Harry Potter. I do have these on audiobook which I play at night to have a little noise whilst I am sleeping.
This is the next book which I would say is another comfort book. I have no idea why I have a connection to this book, but I love it and I can not get rid of it. I re-read it at least once a year.
2. Pumpkin Carving – what is your favourite creative outlet?
I would say my favourite creative outlet is, my blog, which I am hoping to get better at. I also have a reading bullet journal.
I do also crochet, which I miss doing at the moment so I am hoping to find more time over the next few months for this!
3. Falling Leaves – changes that appear bad but you secretly love?
This one is a bit ambiguous, it can refer to your life or fictional changes in books & movies!
The only thing I can think of – not sure if this is right – is vampire relationships in books. They are bad as they are usually intense, overprotective relationships, but I secretly love books that involve vampire and relationships, like the one in A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte – something you love that others tend to judge
Buying books, this is something I always get judged on by family members. They know I love reading and will buy we books, but they do always laugh at how many books I have or buy.
my husband now makes a little joke whenever I get a parcel, trying to guess if it is another book or not.
5. Bonfire Night – what makes you explode with joy?
Animals, all kinds of animals. My little buddies are my two tortoises, Timmy and Neville.
The little guy pictured here is Timmy. Each of the tortoises has such different personalities that we find ourselves laughing at little things they do throughout the day.
6. Fright Night – favourite scary book or film
I haven’t really watched any scary movies, or read any scary/horror books.
Please leave your recommendations in the comments below. I want to read more horror books.
7. Halloween candy – favourite thing to eat
I am on a Gluten-Free Diet due to having Coeliac Disease so I do find it hard to love food. My absolute favourite things to eat are oranges. I can eat so many of them. I will always grab an orange whenever I can and I need a snack. They are my go-to food.
8. Scarves – your autumn ‘must-have’ accessory
my must-have accessory – isn’t really an accessory – is a chunky cardigan or jumper. I would even live in a chunky cardigan in summer as well if I wouldn’t overheat. I love being warm in autumn and chunky cardigans or jumpers are amazing for this.
9. Fire – a book or film that burns your soul
The final empire. I love this book, I have just re-read this book and it was again one of my favourites. I can’t wait to read more in the series.
Brandon Sanderson is growing into one of my favourite authors.
10. Toffee apples – a book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside
I wasn’t too sure what I was expecting going into this one, I think I was expecting more of a mystery type of story, but it wasn’t really that. I did enjoy it though. Here is my review.
I am going to tag everyone who feels like they want to participate. If you do this make sure to tag the original creator.
